Take Action: Orangutan Forest on Fire

Signed RAN petition asking Cargill to stop buying palm oil from PT. Kallista Alam!

Fires set by profit-hungry palm oil companies are tearing through the critical Tripa peat forest of Sumatra, threatening the survival of the densest population of wild Sumatran orangutans in the world. One palm oil company responsible for setting fire to Tripa peat forest is PT Kallista Alam. We know through customs data that Cargill purchases palm oil from PT Kallista Alam’s parent company. Cargill can make a difference.

Demand that Cargill immediately stop trading palm oil with companies profiting from the destruction of Tripa peat forest.

About endoftheicons

The Leuser Ecosystem on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia is in grave danger. Local politicians want to allow logging, mining and palm oil plantations in this vulnerable area. Sumatran orangutans, rhinos, elephants and tigers are already hanging on by a thread. They will not survive the destruction of the Leuser Ecosystem.
